Pot Rack

We started working on this last Friday, but then we realized that we needed some wood because the studs weren’t in convenient locations, then we couldn’t find the saw to cut the wood (it was at our camp), then I was in Delaware, and then Poppi was visiting.

Well, the stars were finally aligned today and we finished putting it up and repainted the wall.  I haven’t cleaned out the pan cupboard yet or found homes for the stuff that’s supposed to live there that Ben hid in a giant trash bag in the garage, but I’m going to count this as one mess down because it sure made a mess of my kitchen for the last week having all the parts, pieces, and tools lying around.

We also dug up the garden beds and planted yellow squash, cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, onions, garlic, watermelon, pumpkins, asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli, and tomatoes.  I hope something grows.  Considering that last year we left the beds dormant, I’m counting those as another mess.

So that’s 8 messes down, 21 (or 91) to go.

Losing it with Jillian

Jillian Michaels was in town yesterday filming her new show which premiers on June 1st.  I saw her from afar when I was walking the loop around Cushing Park with my friend Cristina.  She’s teeny.  (Here’s the Metrowest Daily News coverage.)

In her new show, she lives with different families while trying to help them learn how to eat healthy and exercise.  I’ll bet that’s effective.  Last night while I was eating a chocolate chip cookie in bed I was imagining Jillian bursting into the bedroom to scream in my face that I wasn’t making good choices.

Maybe I need to sign up for the show.

Girls’ Night Out!!!

If you’re local and you need a night of bonding with friends before summer vacation, my pal Luscious Lana has organized an event at the AMC premium theater on Thursday, June 3rd.  We start with apps and drinks at 6, followed by a private viewing of Sex and the City 2 at 8.

It will be a blast, so let me know if you want to go and I’ll send you the evite!  Movie tix are $19 each, Lana’s working on a package price for apps.
