#17of365 – The Secret Garden

Aliya and I went to see The Secret Garden at the Wheelock Family Theatre, which was GREAT and way less expensive than going to the bigger venues.  This was her “mystery date” with me…for Christmas the kids asked Ben and I to take each of them out one-on-one.  Aliya and I also went to Appetito in Newton for dinner, and I had my favorite favorite dish from the old days (pre-kids) – Tortiglioni Con Pollo.  Adlani’s mystery date with me is a cupcake-decorating class this Sunday.

#15of365 – Honk Critique

It’s tough to tell from this photo because I took it during the director’s critique of the dress rehearsal, but Aliya loves Drama Club.  Adlani does too, although I think his presence sometimes makes the director want to disband the club.  Their performance of Honk is coming up in a week and a half, and they have missed so many rehearsals because of snow days that I’m just hoping they can pull it off.

#13of365 – Ice-Cold Coke

I’m not a weather person.  I don’t make small talk about the weather, I don’t watch the weather, I don’t really care about the weather unless I’m headed to a soccer game or an outdoor concert.  But since Project 365 began I’ve found myself photographing weather-related things and talking about snow.  It’s cold enough to freeze Diet Coke to the explosion point, we’re expecting 8-12 inches of snow tonight, and tomorrow may be yet another snow day.  Woo.  Hoo.
